Gold, yellow diamonds, Prasiolite, and Rubellite Winter Roses bracelet
Albert Boghossian's lifelong fascination with the world's grandest palaces has culminated in the creation of Boghossian's latest high-jewellery collection, "Palace Voyages." This collection, a tribute to architectural magnificence, showcases the intricate beauty and historical significance of some of the world's most breathtaking residences.
Albert Boghossian’s passion for architecture was ignited during his visit to the Taj Mahal at the age of 18. He recalls being mesmerized by the beauty and scale of the landmark, realizing then that architecture was the highest form of art. "I have always been amazed by how the artisans were able to create beauty out of tough materials like stone," says Boghossian. This awe and admiration for architectural artisanship inspired the creation of a jewellery collection that mirrors the grandeur of palaces.

Palaces have always been the epitome of wealth and power, with their extravagant designs and historical significance. "They are architecturally significant because of their history but also the captivating and contrasting colours you see in them," says Boghossian. "They project so much intricacy, balance, artisanship, and fantasy. I thought all of this could be beautifully translated into jewellery – it’s such rich material to work with."

The "Palace Voyages" collection draws inspiration from renowned palaces worldwide. The Grand Palace in Bangkok inspires a bracelet adorned with kite, trapezoid and square-shaped diamonds. Potsdam’s Sanssouci is reflected in a necklace featuring a cobweb of square-cut diamonds. Granada’s Alhambra finds its muse in a wooden ceiling, inspiring a necklace that transitions from white to yellow diamonds. The City Palace in Jaipur inspires two pieces: a necklace with a daring mix of intense yellow diamonds and green tourmalines, inspired by a colourful door, and a bracelet with carved rubellites on top of prasiolites, inspired by a floral-patterned door.
This journey through various countries also honours Boghossian’s rich family history. The business was established by Ovaness Boghossian in Armenia in 1868, before moving to Aleppo, Syria, in the early 20th century, and then to Beirut, Lebanon, where Albert and his brother Jean were born. The family finally settled in Geneva, where the sixth generation of jewellers, Dalia, Ralph, and Roberto Boghossian, now run the business alongside Albert.
The collection, which took four years to complete, encompasses 70 exquisite pieces. “Almost all of these were complicated to make – everything demanded special cutting, special carving, special inlay work – nothing was easy,” adds Boghossian. “It was a work of art.”
