A Meeting Ground for Global Jewellery Excellence

With 1,000 brands and companies from 14 countries, the IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show showcased the latest in jewellery trends and collections, offering a first look at the designs set to dominate the industry in 2025. This year's show attracted a significant 34% international buyer presence, welcoming visitors from key markets such as Iran, the UAE, Russia, India, and the United States, reinforcing its reputation as a central trading hub for the global jewellery industry.

Even amidst geopolitical tensions and global economic challenges, the IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show provided exhibitors and industry professionals with invaluable networking and business opportunities. Founding Partner Şermin Cengiz proudly remarked on the fair's enduring success since its launch in 1986, stating, "Despite the difficulties in neighboring regions and the global slowdown, we have once again created a vital platform for trade, creativity, and collaboration."

First Look at Trendsetting Collections for 2025

The Istanbul Jewelry Show continues to be the go-to event for discovering cutting-edge jewellery designs before they hit the global market. Thousands of new products were revealed, from gold and diamonds to silver, emeralds, and pearls, with many brands debuting collections crafted exclusively for this event. The variety was impressive, ensuring there was something to inspire every corner of the jewellery sector from luxury high-end pieces to more accessible designs.

The spotlight also shone brightly on IJS Tech, the fair’s specialized section dedicated to jewellery machinery, technology, and equipment. This space brought together the latest innovations in jewelry-making tools, packaging solutions, display accessories, and security technologies, offering attendees a comprehensive view of the industry’s technological future.

Creative Inspiration and Thought Leadership Take Center Stage

Beyond the allure of the physical pieces on display, the IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show is renowned for its thought-provoking and trendsetting events. This year, WGSN, the world’s leading trend forecasting agency, unveiled an exclusive report that will guide the jewellery trends for 2025. This forward-looking analysis provided invaluable insights for manufacturers and designers eager to stay ahead of the curve in a competitive global market.

Artistry and craftsmanship were at the heart of the show with the "Art for Jewellery: Inspiration Hub," an inspiring initiative co-organized by the IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show and the Jewellery Exporters' Association. This special event, which celebrated the fusion of fine art and jewellery design, captured the imagination of visitors, demonstrating the creative possibilities at the intersection of these two industries.

In the Designer Club, master craftsmen took the spotlight, showcasing their latest bespoke collections and revealing the dedication, skill, and passion behind their most exquisite works. Visitors were invited to witness firsthand the artistry involved in creating world-class jewellery, further elevating the cultural and creative status of the event.

The Art for Jewellery

At the Istanbul Jewelleryy Show, I had the privilege of being a panelist at the Art for Jewellery, where social media influencers and jewellery experts came together to discuss the evolving landscape of the industry. Organised by the Art for Jewelry team, I delivered two talks focusing on "How to use Social Media Marketing successfully" and "Jewellery Design Trends in the upcoming seasons". In my first talk, I explored strategies for utilizing social media marketing successfully, offering insights on building an online presence and engaging with a global audience. The second talk delved into upcoming jewellery design trends for the next season, highlighting the importance of innovation and staying ahead of consumer preferences. These sessions provided a platform for industry professionals to exchange ideas and envision the future of jewellery in a digital world.

Looking Ahead to IJS 2025: A New Era of Innovation and Opportunity

The IJS Istanbul Jewellery Show is not just a showcase of the latest designs—it is an essential platform for setting the course of the industry’s future. Preparations are already underway for the next edition, scheduled for April 16-19, 2025, in Istanbul. This eagerly anticipated event will bring even more innovation, creativity, and opportunity to the world stage, solidifying the fair's role as a pivotal driver of the global jewellery sector.
